“Food photographer Kyle Dreier has taken the standard still life food photograph and turned it into a captivating series filled with interesting narratives…the artist asked himself, “What foods really go well together? What are the stereotypical food pairings?” To explore and visually answer these questions, Dreier created this personal project, entitled Pairings.”

Wednesday, 7:00pm. Upper West Side, New York City. I found the Schweddy Balls flavor in my local bodega yesterday. A few days ago, I was looking to see if they were even selling it in stores yet (nope) but I went to the bodega to look for it anyways — the owner always ordered a stupid amount of Ben & Jerry’s pints for his tiny store. He found out I was looking for that flavor and got it a few days later. I love my local bodega man.
